ANZ Bank Reap the Benefits of FutureStaff Traineeships
L-R Annemarie Cole Branch Manager, Justin Lako Trainee, Chris Davidson Trainee and Mary Ryan Assistant Manager at ANZ Morley Branch
In 2005 the ANZ Bank in Western Australia piloted the FutureStaff Traineeship program using FutureStaff’s combination of Group Training and Registered Training services model.
This model provided the ANZ Bank with FutureStaff employed trainees that the bank hosted for the duration of their traineeship with the view to providing employment opportunities for youth in Western Australia.
Four trainees were selected for the original pilot, two of whom are still employed with the Bank today – one as a Mortgage Lending Specialist and the other in Private Banking.
The program has steadily grown and has been an overwhelming success with over 40 ANZ traineeships in the last 3 years.
Susan Munro, Training Facilitator, Retail Banking SA/WA for the ANZ Bank said ‘The Traineeship has been an extremely successful program which has assisted with our retention and succession planning strategies.’

New Cadetship Program
FutureStaff will launch a new Cadetship program in the new year to assist the Financial Planning industry in meeting the skills shortage challenge.
The Cadetship program duration will be 12 months with rolling enrollments that will allow practices to bring new cadets on board as the need arises.
Similar to our traditional Traineeship program, the Cadetship will see candidates placed with host employers whilst undertaking the Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and will be pitched at Junior Paraplanner or Junior Financial Planner level.
Benefits include:
- Free Recruitment
- No payroll administration
- Succession Planning
- Performance Management
- Trained your way!
The Cadetship educational program brings the theoretical aspects of Financial Planning into practical application in the workplace. The Cadetship is supported with workshops totalling 16 days delivered in 4 x 4 day blocks.
This is a quality vehicle for bringing new staff on board in a structured 12 month program.
